Politics at the national & state levels seems focused on making us enemies if we're from different parties. I'm sick of that approach! At our local county level, we need to find more ways to work together because that's how things get done. Personally I don't care what party you're from. If you have a good idea or an important issue, I want to hear from you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Budget & Finance: Adopt the annual budget, appropriate funds, set property tax rates, and authorize bonds.

• Legislation: Pass local ordinances and resolutions, acting as the county's legislative branch.

• Policy & Planning: Establish county policies, approve zoning outside cities, and adopt building codes.

• Appointments: Make appointments to county committees, boards, and

  commissions.

• Representation: Serve as the voice for their district, communicating with residents and advocating for their needs.

• Oversight: Oversee county administration and finances, though not manage daily operations.
